Reporting a Data Breach

WireCo is committed to protecting personal data in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws. If you believe a data breach has occurred involving WireCo-held personal data, please follow the procedures below to report the incident.

How to Report

To report a suspected data breach:

  1. Contact our Data Protection Officer immediately at dpo@wireco.com or by phone at +1 (816) 270-4700.
  2. Provide as much detail as possible about the breach, including the date and time it was discovered, the types of personal data affected, and the estimated number of individuals involved.
  3. Include any supporting documentation, such as screenshots, logs, or evidence of unauthorized access.
  4. Indicate whether the breach has already been reported to regulatory authorities or affected individuals.

Response Timeline

Under GDPR Article 33, WireCo must notify the relevant supervisory authority of any personal data breach without undue delay and, where feasible, within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach. Affected individuals must be notified without undue delay if there is a high risk to their rights and freedoms. Our Privacy and Security teams will conduct an investigation, assess the impact, and communicate findings to all relevant parties in accordance with legal requirements.
