Wire Rope Corporation of America (WRCA) was founded by J.P. Barclay, Sr.

Acquired Union Wire Rope, a wire rope division of Armco Steel.
1999
Acquired wire rope division of Amsted Industries, MacWhyte and Broderick & Bascom (B&B began in 1867).
2005
Acquired Aceros Camesa, located in Mexico, producing wire rope and high carbon wire. World's leading independent producer of EM cables for data logging.

Acquired CASAR, the world's technical leader in design and production of special wire ropes used in critical load lifting applications for hoists, cranes, and underground mining.
